If you'd like to talk about me playing a concert or event for you, please send an email to me at dan@gariepymusic.com with your idea/proposal. Let me know your thoughts and ideas and then, let's talk and see what we can work out!
Below is also some other general information for concerts, typical costs, etc.
General Booking Information
So you'd like to host a concert? I really would love to come play for you as long as we can work out the details together. I've play all sorts of shows...churches, weddings, conferences, corporate dinners and holiday parties, nursing homes, etc! I'm willing to play most events and travel nearly anywhere in the United States and Canada.
What Are The Costs?
My fees are quite reasonable, I believe. While I'm not doing music soley for the money, I do have to support my family and have resources to further my craft. The things I"m most concerned about are:
1. The ability to sell my CD's at my performances. This way people can take my music home and share them with more people.
2. The ability to play for new people that don't know my music already. That way they can experience the music and the joy of a solo piano concert!
3. My travel expenses covered (or at least partially covered). I am willing to travel for performances, however, for obvious reason, I don't want to lose money to come and do a performance. If you're in Ohio/Indiana/Michigan area, most likely my basic fee will cover my performance, if you're not in one of those areas, let's talk and see what we can put together.
Basic Performance Fees
My basic performance fee does vary depending on the location, event, - talk to me and let's figure it out together!
Churches/Ministry Events
I don't necessarily have a set fee for church events. I know that while some larger churches can afford my fee (usually $400), many smaller churches cannot. Please contact me at dan@gariepymusic with an offer than can work well for you and let's see what we can work out. Remember, money is not the primary factor for me in sharing my gift with others.
What Is A Dan Gariepy Concert Like?
At events like dinner parties, weddings, craft shows, coffee shops, I usually just play background music, however at more formal shows, things are a little different.
Mission:
Much of my music comes from my faith and love for the Bible, so when I perform, it's not uncommon for me to share some of my life stories and how my faith affects the way I live and create music.
Stories:
I love sharing some of the stories and inspirations behind the music. I love engaging audiences and often I love sharing in a humorous, light-hearted way. I desire greatly that people walk way from my performances refreshed, inspired, up-lifted, and having had a genuinely great time!
Emotion:
I am very emotion-filled while playing the piano and often times I move and strike the keys with various forms. I am very personable and approachable and try to use my gift of music to encourage others during performances to consider and identify their own unique giftings and walk away from the concert ready to engage their world with their skills.
Time:
You can expect shows to run between an hour-and-a-half to two hours with a ten to fifteen minute intermission. If you need the program to be longer or shorter, just let me know and we can work something out.
